East Welcomes Mrs. McClure to The Herd
This year is Meghan McClure’s first year as a teacher at East Forsyth. Mrs. McClure grew up in Polk County, Tennessee and attended Polk County High School. While she was there, she was an active member of NHS, the Cheerleading Team, FCCLA, FTA, Beta Club, Yearbook, and was the Pep Club President. After high school, Mrs. McClure attended Middle Tennessee State University and got her Bachelor’s Degree at Lee University. She finished her education by obtaining her Master’s Degree at Arkansas State University.
“My dream job as a kid was to be a teacher,” said Mrs. McClure. Now entering her third year in the profession, Mrs. McClure’s favorite part of teaching is the connection she is able to make with her students. Mrs. McClure has made many friends teaching in the ELA department. “I love [having] lunch with Mrs. A”. McClure said.
Mrs. McClure’s favorite memory at East is being nominated on the school’s Instagram page for being kind. Students described her presence as being upbeat and energetic, making her quite popular among her students and co-workers.
