Alexander Arrambide Goes Back-To-Back As Cross Country State Champion
On November 3, 2022, Senior Alexander Arrambide wrote his name in the record books by becoming a two time, back to back, State Champion. Alexander’s running career began in 8th grade and he has loved it ever since. Alexander said, “first I have to mentally prepare myself, then I do the dynamic stretching warm up followed by a mile jog.” This is Alex’s key to success as he prepares for each race.
As for every State Championship, the competition was tough. Although Alexander was not picked to win the race, he was able to defy expectations after running a 16:03.82 and obtaining the 4A State Title. “It feels great and I would have never expected to end my Senior season with a championship,” said Ararambide.
On November 9, 2022, Alexander Signed to the University of Georgia Tech where he plans to continue his academic and athletic career as a Yellow Jacket. When asked why he chose to sign with Tech, Alexander said, “I chose Georgia Tech because I truly trust the coaching staff and it is a very good academic school.”
East Forsyth is so proud of Alexander Arrambide and cannot wait to see where he goes throughout his athletic and academic career.
