Spring Has Sprung
There sits a tree at the end of my road,
The pink petals bloom.
So beautiful that when passing, I slowed,
The air that passed smelt of spring.
My heart fluttered with joy.
I noticed the breath of life as the days passed,
The grass greener than before.
Suddenly the world feels so sweet,
I begin to crave more.
With the leaves sprouting on the once bare branch,
I must have patience.
So every time I pass that pink tree,
I remind myself spring is coming.
That it’s not just what I can see,
To trust nature is awaking
And in a few months.
The world will look alive once again.
